Husband: Cliff

I have spent most of my time here in the Lake Stevens area. Just could not stay away--it has always been home. Both my children were raised here and graduated from Lake Stevens High School. It took me 3 trys before I found my husband, but the third time is the charm, I guess. Cliff and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary in April. Between us, we have 5 children. I have a son and a daughter and Cliff has 3 daughters. All five, with their spouses, gave us a fantastic party. They all live in the area, which is really great for us. We also have 8 grandchildren, the oldest is graduating this year. (Is that possible?)

Cliff works for the City of Everett and I am still working for New Tech Industries as the Office Mgr/Bookkeeper. I worked for a company for 17 years to 1990 that would not transfer to computers, so I got into them rather late. It was one of the reasons I decided to leave that company. But better late than never, and I was lucky enough to work for some wonderful people for the next few years that were very patient and taught me the accounting program. Which enabled me to go on and get my current position. And I transferred them to a new computer program and set it up. It was a learning experience but it was really fun. New Tech is really a 'laid back' type of company which is really good for me. Long hours, stress and worry took their toll in 1993 when I had open heart surgery. Now I have a good job with little or no stress, and the people I now work for are terrific, so I have been very lucky.

All in all, we are very blessed. Even though I have had a couple of surgeries, I am really pretty healthy and so is my husband. I am looking forward to retirement when I turn 62--at least a partial one--until Cliff retires at 65.

Would love to hear from any and/or all of you. And we love to get e-mail. As you can tell by our e-mail address, we (Cliff) have a BMW motorcycle and have taken vacations all over the western states since 1982. That is our main hobby. I have recently started painting ceramics and Cliff has taken up bicycling. Hope to hear from you.

Not much has changed since the last update.  Both of us are now retired. We now have 9 grandkids, and 1 great grandchild.  I am sure that has to be an error and he was dropped by a space ship.  We are diffinitely not that old.

We still do most of our traveling on our motorcycle, except that we have traded in our BMW touring bike for a Honda 1800.  Life has been good to us and blessed us with a large family that is close at hand, all living within this area.  Cliff likes to do woodworking and my hobby is ceramics. With our family, our hobbys and our traveling, it seems like we are always busy.

2007 Update:

Nothing much new that is not on the web site.  We are still taking our vacations on our motorcyle, but now we have a Goldwing.  The older we get the more comfort we neew.

We are both retired and slowly adjusting to the fixed income and being together 24/7.

My hobby is ceramics.  Cliff's is woodworking.

Our family just keeps growing.  We had our first great-grandchild this past year.  They all live in this area except my daughter and she lives in Buckley, so we see all of them regularly.  That's about it.
