Husband: Bill Weimer
I feel that the most important thing I've done with my life is having raised three wonderful daughters. My oldest daughter, "Carlyn", has given me 2 of the greatest grandsons that a grandmother could ever hope for. The oldest, Alex, and the youngest, Ian. Cathy, my middle daughter has given me two granddaughters, Cheryl and Laura. They are both real terrific girls. I just wish they didn't live so far away. They live in Wisconson. My youngest daughter, Alice, lives here in Lake Stevens and she has two daughters, Amber and Crystal.
I have been working as an Educational Assistant for the Lake Stevens Schools since 1974. I really love my work in Special Ed and I also work with Special Olympics bowling and swimming. They're all really great kids to work with too. My granddaughter, Amber, has helped me work with the kids in bowling and swimming. I think she enjoys it as much as I do. I will probably work for at least another 2 years. I feel very fortunate that I have a job that I really love and enjoy.
I enjoy reading and working in my yard, mowing the lawn, etc. I also like taking walks on the Centennial Trail with my granddaughter and my dog.
The only thing new since the '97 reunion is that I remarried on Feb. 29, 2000, to William Weimer, after being single since 1976. I'm still going by the name Olson until I retire from the Lake Stevens School District. I work at the High School and believe me it's really big, nothing like when we went to school here. The photo was taken in September for this years year book.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't feel like I've been out of school for 40 years already. Maybe it's because I'm still there--only now I'm teaching!!
2007 Update:
Everything is the same as last reunion - just added 1st great grandchild - Brooke Renee 2-1/2 years old.
