2007 Update:
Children: 4, Grandchildren: , Great Grandchildren:
Pat and I retired in 2005 and bought a Casa in Jocotepec Mexico, which is situated near the west side of Lake Chapala. Previously besides Lake Stevens, we have lived on Cottage Lake and across the street from Lake Sacajawea when we lived in Longview, Lake Chapala is the largest lake in all of Mexico, stretching 60 miles long and about 15 miles across.
Some of you know from prior emails that I had major surgery in May of this year to remove the cancer from my esophagus. Actually they removed the entire esophagus as the 6” tumor was pretty well entrenched. I’ve pulled enough weeds in the garden to know you’ve got to take out the roots or it will be back for sure. So that’s what we tired to do.
I really didn’t expect to be in any kind of shape to attend the reunion because coming out of surgery I suffered massive blood clots in both lungs and had to go on full oxygen to stay alive. That procedure locked my left vocal cord and I lost my voice except for a faint whisper. The surgeon wanted me to put a plastic implant gizmo in my throat to partially recover my voice. I refused that and the follow-up radiation and chemotherapy the insisted I needed.
Instead I opted for a diet of cancer fighting foods, oxygen enhancement, mega vitamin C infusions, and DMSO infusions with bicarbonate of soda. Hey! I’m still alive and I’m back in the garden again! Everyone…sing it to the tune “I’m back in the Saddle Again”.
I know I do every time I’m out there digging up the dirt. SO DON’T PUT THAT ROSE ON MY PICTURE JUST YET! We plan to see you all at the reunion!!!
