Here goes a recap of the last several years. After graduation, I worked at Boeing for about a year. I liked it so well that I quit and joined the Army. Dave McCoy and I went in on the buddy system. I was in California for boot camp, New Jersey for photography school, El Paso, Texas for a year as an assistant instructor for officer courses, (what that had to do with photo work, I don't know). After that I spent a year in Korea (59 & 60), then back to the States for my last six months in Arizona.
I've been married twice and divorced twice. I have three children, two boys and a girl. All have gone their separate ways. My oldest boy lives in the Arlington area, my daughter lives in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and my youngest son lives in Tacoma. I did have the privilege of raising my three children.
I worked for Scott Paper for six years, Pacific Grinding Wheel for seven years, and a short period of time as a route salesman for Coca-Cola in Dickson, Tennessee. I took a vacation from work, thanks to a strike at Pacific Grinding Wheel, and went to Everett Community College for two years. For the past twenty-four years I've be working for the Washington State Department of Transportation in Monroe. I work in highway maintenance. I'll be eligible to retire in November 2001. I'm looking forward to that date.
I've been living in Gold Bar, WA for the past eleven years. I built myself an A-frame cabin and have enjoyed most of the construction myself. I'm still working on it. Being single I can just take my time.
I feel fortunate that over the years I have been able to travel around this great country of ours. I have been in all fifty states. Some of the traveling was thanks to the US Army, but most of it was on my own. My daughter was living in Florida for about six years, so that gave me an excuse to travel to the South Eastern area of the US.
Well this is kind of long winded, so I'll close for now. Hope all is well with you and the rest of our classmates.
2007 Update:
I have three children - Brian, Taryn, & Kennon and two grandsons - Cameron 16 and Samuel 5.
I have been retired from the Washington State Dept. of Transportation for almost six years. I've been working on my house (cabin) for way too long. Someday I might get it finished.
I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to all 50 states. I've made three trips to Mexico since retirment and I'm planning a trip to the Caribbean some time this winter. I don't know exactly where yet - Aruba or Belize.
